This site was created for the former crew members of the USS Truckee AO-147.Join
our association and hear about our reunion plans, renew old friendships and receive
our newsletter. MY NOTE: I would strongly encourage everyone to visit
the USS Truckee Reunion Association and join up! Hey, dues are only $10.00 per year.
That's less than 20¢ a week! I really don't think you can find a better value anywhere.
General characteristics, crew list, accidents aboard ship, image gallery.
History, 1965 data, epilogue, a port of call map and more. Don't forget to
click in the "See Details" boxes on the map! Be sure to check out the available
chapters of Vern's book about oilers and The Truckee.
Ship information and pictures.
The USS Truckee Group formed by Mike Landers! It's a great way for Truckee
sailors to stay in touch with one another.

(Please let me know if you would like your site listed)
Hershel Butts, SFP2, 1957-1960. "Uncle Hershel" is a professional musician working
out of Mt. Juliet, TN. Yes, that's about as "Country Music USA" as you're going to
get. His site has a lot of sound clips that are just waiting for you to enjoy!
John Fronza, FN, 1965-1969. John works out of Atlanta, GA.
Fronza Design provides successful, results oriented graphic design,
production, and exhibit design that achieve the marketing objectives
of our clients with a high return on their investment while consistently
striving for excellence and maintaining core values of integrity,
honesty and dependability.
Kerry Ruth, MM3, 1976-1979. Kerry lives in Utah. His page contains lots of
information about his family, Navy Seals, Utah, etc. After seeing those
photos, I'm definately planning a trip to Bryce Canyon... That's a "must-see"!
Mike Landers, SH3, 1971-1974. Mike has been been conducting Crisis
Response courses for the past six years and has trained both private
and public educators and other individuals interested in crisis
response within the corporate arena. The course is designed to take
a proactive approach.
Phil Richardson, FT2, 1956-1957. Phil talks about his time on board the
USS Nespelen AOG-55 (1955-1956) as they were assigned to Operation Deepfreeze
in the Antarctic. This is some really interesting stuff with lots of pictures
and a "must read" for anyone interested in "tankers and ice"!
