Hershel Butts, SFP2, 1957-1960. "Uncle Hershel" is a professional musician working out of Mt. Juliet, TN. Yes, that's about as "Country Music USA" as you're going to get. His site has a lot of sound clips that are just waiting for you to enjoy!

Phil Richardson, FT2, 1956-1957. Phil talks about his time on board the USS Nespelen AOG-55 (1955-1956) as they were assigned to Operation Deepfreeze in the Antarctic. This is some really interesting stuff with lots of pictures and a "must read" for anyone interested in "tankers and ice"!
